Sayedah Fatimah Masumah (sa) also known as Karimah-e-Ahl-e-Bayt (as) was the daughter of the seventh Imam from Prophet Muhammad (saww)’s progeny, Musa bin Jafar Al-Kazim (as), and sister of eighth Imam Ali bin Musa Ar-Reza (as). She was born on the 1st of Zilqa’da, 173 AH.

Prior to her birth, Imam Ja’far Sadiq (as) spoke of her status:

“Mecca is Allah’s sanctuary, Medina is Prophet Muhammad’s (S.A.W.), Kufa is Imam Ali’s (as), and Qom will be the sanctuary for one of my descendents; her name shall be Fatimah. Whosoever visits her sanctuary will be rewarded a heavenly paradise.”

Imam Reza (as) said: “Her visitors shall be endowed with paradise” and “Whosoever visits the sanctuary of Fatimah, will be rewarded a heavenly paradise.“

Imam Ar-Reza (as) said at another place. “Whoever visits her acknowledging her right, is entitled to heaven,”

Another Hadith of the eighth Imam about Sayedah Masumah (sa)’s great status goes that “Whoever does the visit of Masumah (sa) it is as though he/she has visited me.”

It is excessively mentioned in a tradition that whoever visits Al-Masumah (sa) heaven is incumbent upon that person.

Her holy shrine is housed in the holy city of Qom. It should be mentioned that Imam Jawad’s (as) daughters, Zaineb (sa), Meymonah (sa) and Umm Muhammad (sa), are also buried in Sayedah Fatimah Al-Masumah (sa)’s tomb.

The name of this divine lady was Fatima and her nickname was Masoumah. Her father was Imam Musa al-Kazim (A.S.), the seventh Imam of the Shi”ites and her mother was amed Najma Khatun who was also the mother of Imam Reza (A.S.), the eighth Shi”ite Imam.

She was born on first day of the month of Zee al-Qa”adah in the year 173 A.H. in the holy city of Madinah Munawwarah. Her holy father was martyred in the Baghdad prison at the hands of the Abbasid caliph Harun al-Rashid after undergoing long term of imprisonment and tortures. After the martyrdom of her holy father she came under the care of Imam Reza (A.S.), her elder brother.

In the year 200 A.H., Imam Reza (A.S.) was forced to leave Madinah Munawwarah by the orders of Mamun,the Abbasid caliph. Imam Reza (A.S.) came alone to Marv (Khurasan) and did not accompany any of his family members.

In the year 201 A.H., Hadrat Fatimah Masoumah (A.S.) accompanied by her brothers and other elders from the Ahlul Bayt (A.S.) left Madinah Munawwarah for Marv (Khurasan) to meet Imam Reza (A.S.). On their way they were welcomed and greeted by the people of the different cities and villages.

Hadrat Masoumah (A.S.) like her noble aunt Hadrat Zainab (A.S.) delivered the message of innocence of her brother Imam Reza (A.S) and revealed the evil intentions of the Abbasid caliph to the public. When the caravan reached Saveh a group of armed men who were deputed by Mamun, the Abbasid caliph, savagely attacked them and all the brothers of Hadrat Masoumah (A.S.) were martyred and according to some historical reports she was poisoned and became severely ill.

Due to her ill health she was unable to continue her journey towards Khurasan and decided to go towards Qum which is near Saveh. Hadrat Masoumah (A.S.) narrated while going towards Qum that her father, Imam Musa al-Kazim (A.S.) has said that city of Qum is the centre of the Shi”ites.

The inhabitants of Qum who were Shi”ites became very happy that Hadrat Masoumah (A.S.) is visiting their city and they gave warm welcome to her. Musa bin Khajraj, the doyen of Ashari family in Qum took the rein of the she-camel litter in his hand in which Hadrat Masoumah (A.S) was travelling and large number of people gathered around the she-camel litter. Hadrat Masoumah (A.S.) entered the city of Qum on 23rd Rabi al-Awwal, in the year 201 A.H.

She then resided in the house of Musa bin Khajraj in the locality which is now called as “Maidan Mir”.

She remained alive only for 17 days because she was poisoned in Saveh. But even in this condition she spent most of her time in praying and supplicating to Allah (SWT).

The place of her stay and worship in Qum is now situated in the Madrasa Sittiyah and is known as “Bait al-Nur” and is a place of ziyarah for the Shi”ites.

She passed away on 10th Rabi al-Thani, in the year 201 A.H. and she could not meet her elder brother before death. The Shi”ites in Qum greatly mourned her death and she was buried in a place called Bagh-i Babelan, which at that time was located outside the city.

When the grave was ready there arose a difference that who should keep the body of Hadrat Masoumah (A.S.) in the grave. It is reported that suddenly two men whose face were covered and riding the horses came to that place and performed the Salaat-e Mayyit ( the prayers for the dead person) and then one of them went in the grave and the other person gave the body of Hadrat Masoumah (A.S.) to that standing person in the grave who laid her to rest in the grave.

After the burial ceremony was over both those persons without talking to anybody sat on their horse and went away. It is said that those two holy personalities who performed the burial ceremony for Hadrat Masoumah (A.S.) were Imam Reza (A.S.) and Imam Muhammad Taqi al-Jawad (A.S.). According to sacred rules the burial ceremony of an infallible has to be performed by another infallible person for example the burial ceremony of Hadrat Fatima Zahra (A.S.) was performed by Amir al-Muminin Imam Ali (A.S.).

After the burial of Hadrat Masoumah (A.S.), Musa bin Khajraj built a shed over the grave made out of mat. In the year 256 A.H., Hadrat Zainab (A.S.), the daughter of Imam Muhammad Taqi al-Jawad (A.S.) constructed a dome over the grave of her aunt Hadrat Masoumah (A.S.).

Since the burial of that divine lady of Islam in Qum, the holy grave of her have become a centre of ziyarah for the lovers of the Holy Ahlul Bayt (A.S.)

The Holy Imam’s main task was to safeguard the Message of Islam, to defend its originality, to call people towards it and to convey its principles and values.

During the reign of Imam al-Askari(A.S.), the school of Ahlul-Bayt (A.S..) was filled with knowledge, calling to Islam and defending it and spreading its ideas, the chief element of this act was done through the academic way.

Indeed, the Holy Imam (A.S.) had students, companions and narrators, some of whom had continued their task since the reign of his father and grandfather, while others joined in during the period of his divine leadership. All these students and narrators had studied under the Holy Imam(A.S.) and quoted him in narrating Islamic sciences and culture.

Sheikh Tusi mentioned the names of the narrators of Imam al-Askari (A.S.). Their number was about 99 narrators on different levels of knowledge and culture.

Indeed, the religious scholars who either narrated from Imam al’Askari (A.S.), or who studied under his school, or who were educated in the school of the Holy Imam(A.S.) and his forefathers, participated in developing the scholarly offering in the fields of jurisprudence, interpretation, narration, faith, literature, geography, and other sciences.

All these evidences indicated the greatness of this school and also refer to the scholarly status of the Holy Imam(A.S.) and his high rank among people.

Indeed, Imam al-Askari(a.s.), like his noble fathers, was a prominent scholar and an Imam whom no one could ignore. He (A.S.) was the chief of religious scholars, an ideal of worshippers, a leader of politics and opposition, and towards whom the hearts of people were adhered with love and respect.

Inspite of the existence of the brutal terrorism of the Abbasid rule, and their political hostility towards Ahlul-Bayt (A.S.), and the continuous pursuit of authorities for him and his followers, and throwing them in prisons and jails, the caliphs of his time could not hide his personality or weaken his scientific and political role and his social status. Thus, the spiritual authority of the Holy Imam(A.S.) was imposed upon the rulers and the opponents of his time.

Ahmad bin Abdulla bin Khaqan, being an opponent of Imam al-Askari (A.S.), narrated a full description about his social and political status and position:

Ibn Shahr Ashub said:
“Hussein bin Muhammad Ash’ari and Muhammad bin Ali said: During his assembly one day the Shias and their beliefs were mentioned. Ahmad bin Abdulla bin Khaqan was in charge of estates and the land tax in Qom. He was the severe enemy of the descendants of Ali bin Abi-Talib(A.S.), who said: ‘I had not seen a man from the Sayyids like al-Hassan bin Ali bin Muhammad bin Ali al-Reza(A.S.). Once, the Imam’s servant visited my father and said: Abu Muhammad bin al-Rida is standing at the door. Therefore, he permitted them to enter, and welcomed him (the Imam). Then, the Caliph made him sit down in his oratory (place of Prayer) and started to talk with him and asked for sacrifice of himself for the Imam.

When the Imam wanted to leave, he (my father) bid farewell to him. Then, I asked my father about him (the Imam) and he replied: ‘I my son! This is the Imam (leader) of Shias and if the office of leadership was to be taken from our caliphs i.e. the family of al-Abbas, no one among the family of Bani Hashim would be more entitled to it than him (the Imam) becase of his great merit, his self restraint, his modesty, his fasting, his prayer, his asceticism, his devotion (to Allah), and all of his high morals and his righteousness.’ “Indeed, I always asked about him, they glorified him and mentioned his charismas. He added saying: ‘I have never seen anyone who is more plentiful in knowledge and manner, nor sweet in tongue than Hassan al-Askari(A.S.).

Because of the Holy Imam’s great status, political position and his standing at the top of political opposition at that time, the, then, authorities not only imposed a house arrest on him, but also forced him to attend the office of the caliphate on Mondays and Thursdays every week in the city of Samarrah, the military garrison capital city of Abbasid administration.

In this regard, one of the companions of the Holy Imam (A.S.) said:
“We held a meeting in the district of “al-Askar”, then, we waited for the day of Abu Muhammad’s (the Holy Imam) going by, instead, he (a.s.) sent a letter in which he wrote the following: ‘No one should greet me, nor refer to me with his hand nor gestures, because you would not secure yourselves.”

The great position of the Imam (a.s.) can be shown by the following historical document in which he describes the people’s conditions during the Holy Imam’s martyrdom:

“When the news of his (the HolyImam) martyrdom was spread, Samarra’ became on uproar. The markets were empty. Bani (the family) Hashim, the military leaders, the secretaries, the judges, the attestators and the rest of the people rode to his funeral. On that day, Samarra’ looked like the (day of) Resurrection..”

Intro:

This is an annual Muslim celebration observing the birthday of the Islamic Prophet Mohammed which occurs during the third month of the Islamic calendar. During this short segmentedpodcast, we will be holding songs composed to honor our beloved prophet, recite poems to salute to him our greetings, and deliver the seerah to tribute our love for his teachings.

Body:

Brothers and sisters, this is or should be a joyous occasion for Muslims to celebrate the life and teachings of Allah’s Messenger Prophet Mohammed –PBUH-. This event should befit a more merry and festive element to our life on this very special day.

Conclusion:

Brothers and sisters, this day should be joyous for both Muslims and non-Muslims alike as there are many great lessons to be learned from this occasion in celebrating the life of our Prophet. To know his seerah, his life history in itself is not enough, but to read and reflect our learning’s is to emulate his teachings. To emulate his teachings we can share this occasion with non-Muslims by demonstrating his message of good deeds with good actions. We must practice what we preach.

Insha-Allah, God will shower his mercy and blessings upon us. Insha-Allah may God grant us permission to join the ranks of God’s Messenger Mohammad and his family and his loyal companions on the day of resurrection. Amen.

Tomorrow night is the night Abu-Talib, the Prophet’s supporter and guardian, had passed away. Leaving the Prophet with no one but his son, Imam Ali. 26th of Rabi Al-Awal is the day of this sad occasion. We did not want to pass this important occasion without posting anything. We would like to honor this important leader, who was a big support to the religion of Islam and the Prophet.

Abu-Talib: The Supporter of The Prophet

The Guardian

Our Master Muhammad (s) was 8 years of age when his grandfather Abdul-Muttalib died. So, his uncle, Abu-Talib took care of him.

Abu-Talib’s name was Abdu-Munaf. His mother’s name was Fatima binte Amru. She belonged to bani-Makhzum. Abu-Talib was named Sheikh al-Bat-ha.

Our Master Muhammad (s) lived with his uncle. His uncle treated him kindly. Fatima binte Asad, his uncle’s wife, treated him kindly, too. She preferred him to all of her sons. So, our Master Muhammad (s) grew with a good family.

Abu-Talib’s love for his nephew increased day by day because of his good manners and great politeness.

For example, when the food was ready, the Orphan Boy reached it politely. He said: “In the Name of Allah!”

When he finished, he said: “Thank Allah!”

One day, Abu-Talib missed his nephew Muhammad. So, he raised his hand from the food and said: “Till my son comes!”

When Muhammad came, Abu-Talib gave him a cup of yoghurt. Mohammed drank out of the cup. Abu-Talib’s sons drank out of it one by one, too. They were all full. The uncle admired that. So, he said to his nephew: “Muhammad you are blessed!”

The Year of Sadness

Only a few weeks passed. Khadijah, Muharnmad’s wife, died, too. So, our Master Muhammad (s) named that year the Year of Sadness.

The Quraysh increased their harm against Muhammad and those who believed in him.

One day, a foolish person threw some dust at him. His head was covered with dust. So, he went home.

While Fatima, Muhammad’s daughter, was washing his head, she began weeping. So, he patted her head and said:

“Daughter, don’t weep. Allah will save your father. He’ll protect your father from the enemies of His religion and Mission.”

Jibreel came down from the sky holding Allah’s Order. He said:

“Muhammad, go out of Mecca. Your supporter has died.”

When the Quraysh plotted to kill our Master Muhammad (s), Ali, Abu-Talib’s young son, came to sleep in his bed. He was ready to die for him.

Our Master Muhammad (s) went towards Yathrib (al-Madina al-Monawwara). From there the light of Islam started to illuminate the world.

When the Muslims go to visit Allah’s Holy House every year, they remember the attitudes of Sheikh al-Bat-ha when he was always defending Allah’s religion.

“Muhammad is Allah’s Apostle, and those with him are firm of heart against the unbelievers, compassionate, among each other.”

PROPHET MUHAMMED (SAWW), The Messenger of Peace

Islam means ‘Submission’ to One and only God. It is a religion, which Allah (SWT) sent all His prophets, without any exception, to preach and practice.

“And who will ever renounce Abraham’s creed except one who fools himself? We certainly chose him in the (present) world, and in the Hereafter he will indeed be among the Righteous. When his Lord said to him, ‘Submit’, he said, ‘I submit to the Lord of the worlds’. Abraham enjoined this (creed) upon his children, and (so did) Jacob, (saying), ‘My children! Allah has indeed chosen this religion for you; so never die except as those who submit to Him. Were you witnesses when death approached Jacob, when he said to his children, ‘What will you worship after me?’ They said, ‘We will worship your God, and the God of your fathers, Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac, the One God, and to Him do we submit’.” (2:130-133)

The message of Islam to mankind is that of peace. A major part of Prophet Muhammad (saww)’s mission was to bring peace to the world. One of the ways in which he (saww) strove towards this end was to attempt to convince people that all men and women, from different regions of the world, and seemingly different from one another in colour, culture and language, were infact each others brothers and sisters. His message was crucial, for a proper relationship of love and respect can only be established if that is how human beings regard one another.

To inculcate such feelings, the Prophet (saww) told his followers: “You are all Adam’s offspring and Adam was created of clay”. He (saww) would tell the people,

“Every religion has some special characteristic, that of Islam being modesty”. In the absence of such a virtue, no community can have lasting peace. Prophet Muhammad (saww)’s own modesty, coupled with great strength of character is depicted in a well-known story of an old woman who hated him. Every morning when the Prophet (saww) passed by her house, she would empty a basket of rubbish on his head from the upper storey of her house. He (saww) never once argued with her on this.

One day, when the Prophet (saww) passed by the same place, no rubbish fell on his head. Thinking that the old woman must be ill, he (saww) went upstairs to inquire how she was and found her ill in bed. When she discovered that the Prophet (saww) had come to visit her, she began to weep and said, “I ill-treated you, and now you come to inquire after my health!” Ultimately she became one of his followers.

Sa’d bin Hisham bin Aamir once said to Aayesha, the wife of Prophet Muhammad (saww), “O Mother of the Faithful! Tell me about the character of the Messenger of Allah”. She asked, “Don’t you read the Quran?” Sa’d replied, “I do”. She said, “The character of the Apostle of Allah was the Quran”. (Saheeh al-Muslim)

George Bernard Shaw has said about him, “He (Muhammad) must be called the saviour of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it mush need peace and happiness”. (The Genuine Islam, Singapore, Vol.1, no.8,1936)

Mahatma Gandhi, speaking on the character of Prophet Muhammad (saww) said, “I wanted to know the best of one who holds today’s undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind…I became more convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet, the scrupulous regard for his pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle”.

We all know that the conduct of men is the reflection of their inner character and everyone can be recognized by his conduct.

There are only a very few people who do not spill out their conduct and whatever they have in their interior and do not exhibit it. Whatever they have in their hearts kindles the exterior of the electric lamp like an electric switch.
Whole of the life of Imam Jafar as Sadiq (AS), like the other Imams (AS), was the enlightened lesson of the real and true Islam. He himself was considered to be the example and specimen of the Islamic ethic, moral and conduct. You cannot find a father and a son among all the people, of all the tribes who may resemble each other from all the angles of ideas, thoughts, character and conduct. But the family of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and his successors all were on the same line and performed their heavenly duty with one aim, one ideology, and did not have any kind of difference in speech, character and ethical conduct. About the ethical value and virtue of Imam Jafar as Sadiq (AS), it is sufficient that out of four thousands of his students even a single one did not object or criticize upon the moral character and conduct of Imam Jafar as Sadiq (AS), and did not find a weak point in it.
He was a practical example and specimen for the Muslims with respect to eating, relaxing and resting, walking, speaking, and conducts with others.
He had the same social conduct with his friends as he had with his children.

The Piety and Devotedness of Imam Jafar as Sadiq (AS)
 

The piety and abstemiousness is the standard of the man’s value. Holy Qur’an, considers all the people as equal, except for those who are decorated with the ornament of piety.
Malik bin Ans says, “Imam Jafar as Sadiq (AS) was always busy praying to God and considered to be one of the great ascetic and devoted ones.”
Abdul Ala says: On a hot day of summer I saw Imam Jafar as Sadiq (AS) on one of the roads of Madina while he was going for a job. I said, “May I lay my life for you, why have you put yourself into inconvenience in such a hot weather, with all the faith upon God and association with the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)?”
He said, “I have come out for the job and to earn my livelihood, so that I must not remain needy towards others.”
Another one says, “I saw Imam Jafar as Sadiq (AS) wearing rough dress and he was working in a garden like an ordinary labor and perspiring all over.” I said to him “Oh, the son of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) allow me to work for you.”
He said, “I love working for my livelihood and to taste the hardship of the burning heat of the sun like others.”
When Imam Jafar as Sadiq (AS) went out of the house he used to put on new, clean, valuable and costly dress and climb up a horse.
A group of ignorant people thought this act negated the piety and asceticism.
Therefore, they would come and object and when they heard the response they would be ashamed.

1. The Scientific Character of Imam Sadiq (Pbuh)

Imam Sadiq (Pbuh) possessed a vast knowledge, wisdom and sense of justice. He founded an Islamic school and trained many students who had played special rules in the science history.

Imam Sadiq (Pbuh) promoted the Islamic sciences including the Jurisprudence, the Speculative Theology, Interpretation and Ethics. In addition to the Islamic sciences, Imam was conversant with the Medicine, Chemistry, Algebra and many other techniques. Amongst his students, we can allude to:

Muhammad Ibn Moslim Saqafee Kufie, Zorareh Ibn Sheibanie Kufie, Homran Ibn A’ayon Sheibanie, Abdullah Ibn Kufie, Jamil Ibn Dorraje, Hosham Ibn Hakam, Ali Ibn Ja’far, … and etc.

2. Imam Sadiq (Pbuh), the Founder of the Shi’ist School

Among the Shi’ite Imams, because of his struggle for the exaltation of this holy religion, Imam Sadiq (Pbuh) was entitled to the founder of the Shi’ism School.

3. Politico-social Status of Imam Sadiq’s (Pbuh) Imamate

The Imam’s life was coincided with the Ummavian’s rule for 50 years, so for a long time he was the witness of Islam Ummah’s disasters by the Ummavid government.

His life was also coincided with the collapse of Ummavian rule, the beginning of Abbasian rule and Abu Moslim Khorasani’s rising.

The martyrdom of Imam Sadiq (Pbuh) occurred ten years after Mansure Abbasi’s rule.

4. The Shu’ubites Sect (the Nationalists) during Imam Sadiq’s (Pbuh) lifetime

By raising of the Islamic victories and dialogue among the various races, the probability of the racial riot increased. But the holy religion of Islam, which invited the Muslims to equality and fraternity, opposed this discrimination on the grounds of race.

The history proved that the Ummavians initiated such these racial confrontations and clashes, and their belief in “The Islam is equal with Arab ethnic” motivated the other tribes.

Moses and Muhammed

Burning aspire, pursuing the quest,
tracing every particle of soil,
searching the very depth of the sky,
to locate his supreme love.
It is Moses, stationed on the peak of Toor,
with a heart enriched by warmth unknown.
The initiation of an exalted dialogue,
as his whispers enclose the distant locale.
Moses awaits the hour of momentous glory,
wishing time would slower its pace,
as passive joy radiates within.
The flame of love embracing him,
spreading its wings around Moses
excorting him to the promised ascension;
where the sweet fragrance of musk,
perfumes the kingdom of faith.
His hand extended towards the heaven,
with eyes outpouring precious pearls,
‘Oh my Lord, show me that I may behold Thee!’
Moses voiced his age long prayer.
‘Thou shalt not see Me, but behold the mountain;
if it stays fast in its place, then thou shalt see Me.’
He replied softly.
Moses adhered to the command,
gazing at the colossal mass.
And when his Lord revealed Himself to the mountain,
He made it crumble to dust,
and mix with the mud and clay underneath,
and Moses fell swooning.
When he opened his eyes,
he exclaimed undertone,
‘Glory be to Thee!
I repent to Thee; I am the first of the Believers.’
Moses stared at the edge of the mountain with awe,
rendering his emotions, as I write, observing his humble silence.
Oh Moses Kaleem-Allah,
do you wish to see the Manifestation of Allah again?
Have an eye-ful at Muhammed (s),
the seal of the Prophets.
He is riding on the back of Buraq,
heading towards the promised reunion
an assembly for the Prophets,
on the highest peak of the heavens.
From Adam, to Noah, to Ibrahim
and Moses … all welcoming Muhammed to the Kingdom of loyalty and love.
This is the essence of ascension of the soul …

Ahlul-bayt Happiness is our happiness and their sadness is our Sadness

After Two months and Eight days of grief and sorrow for our beloved Imam Hussain A.S,This day comes when all the morruineens have a Smile on their faces. The day is 9th of Rabiulawwal. It is a great eid day named “Eid-e-Shuja” and “Eid Zahra.”

This is the day of Tajposhi of Imam Zamana( A.S). This day 12 th Imam Mahdi(a.s) was gifted with Zahiri Imamat and Khilafat after the martyrdom of his great father (11th Imam) on 8th Rabiuawwal. So this is the day of our 12th Imam’s ” Tajposhi”.

This is the day when Ahle Bayt Rasool (peace of Allah be upon them) brought their soag( mourning ) to an end as Hazrat Mukhtar Saqafi (blessings of Allah be upon him) took the revenge from killers of Imam Hussain (A.S) by killing them all in the same manner as they did, and then he sent the heads of Qatlaan Imam Hussain (A.S) (the murderers of Imam Hussain) including ibn ziyad and umer bin sa’ad. Umer bin sa’ad was the 1st to shoot the arrow towards khayaam Hussaini (Hussaini camps) and then proudly said: “Be witness that me the 1st to shoot the arrow.”} to Beemaar-e-Karbala Hazrat Imam Zain-ul- Abedeen (A.S) who then paid sajd-e- shukr (thanking prostration) to Allah and said “thanks for Allah , for He took revenge from our enemies” and prayed for Hazrat mukhtar (blessings of Allah be upon him) in these words: “Allah will reward mukhtar good” (Bahar-ul-Anwaar vol: 45, Jame- ur- Ruwaat vol:02)

One more reason is that is the birthday of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (peace of Allah be upon him and his Aal) according to sunni hadith and research and as a symbol unity we also share this with them. According to shia research birthday of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (peace of Allah be upon him and his Aal) is Rabi-ul Awwal 17.

This week, millions of people who love the final messenger’s family celebrated Farhat Az Zahra.

Rabee’ Al Awwal 9–the third month of the Islamic calendar—is the day of Farhat Az Zahra, the festival of Fatima Az Zahra (peace be upon her), the daughter of Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him and his family).

Two glorious occasions occurred during this day: The killers of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), his family and companions were executed and Imam Mehdi (peace be upon him and may Allah hasten his reappearance), the 12th and living Imam ascended to the position of Allah’s representative to the universe.

In 66 A.H., (“after Hijra” refers to the Islamic calender) five years after the massacre of Karbala, Mukhtar bin ‘Ubaydullah Ath Thaqafi, a courageous and loyal follower of Imam Hussain, took it upon himself to avenge the deaths of the Imam, his family and 72 companions.

Mukhtar was prevented from joining the imam’s convey to Karbala because ‘Ubaidullah ibn Ziyad sent him to prison.

‘Ubaidullah imprisoned Mukhtar due to his close relationship with the imam. This was not out of character for ‘Ubaidullah: ‘Ubaidullah instilled fear in any person who would rally against the leadership of the tryant Yazid. Mukhtar was still in prison when ‘Ubaidullah brought Imam Hussain’s head and showed him the result of Ashura.

Mukhtar’s sister, Safyyah was married to Abdullah bin Umar bin Khattab who was a friend to Yazid. Safyyah asked her husband to have Mukhtar released from ibn Ziyad. The permission was granted for Mukhtar to be released from prison.

This freedom did not last for too long as Mukhtar was sent back to prison by a different ruler; this time ‘Abdullah ibn Mutea who reigned over Kufa. Once again, through a series of incidents, ‘Abdullah bin Umar bin Khattab interceded once more to release Mukhtar from prison.

At Kufa, Sulayman bin Sird al-Khuazai led a movement of the Tawwabeen (the “Repenters” who felt bad for not having helped Imam Hussain) against ‘Ubaidullah’s forces.

Sulayman had 4,000 Muslims who joined him in the call to avenge for the deaths of the battle of Karbala. Ubaidullah’s army formed 8,000 soldiers. The two armies fought at Ain al Warda between Iraq and Damascus. The Tawwabeen lost, but another revolution led by Mukhtar would take soon take hold.

Mukhtar joined with Ibraheem Al Ashtar to form a revolution of their own and head an army to drive out the Ummayad rule. He was successful in bringing down all those responsible for the massacre of Imam Hussain, his family and his companions.

Mukhtar’s army executed Harmala bin Kahil, who shot an arrow at the throat of Imam Hussain’s son, Ali Asghar. Umar ibn Sa’d, the commander of Yazid, was also executed. One by one Mukhtar’s army successfully hunted down Husayn bin Numair, Shibth bin Riby, Shimr ibn Thil Jawshan, ‘Ubaidullah and 18,000 soldiers who participated in the Karbala massacre. They all met their destiny by Mukthar’s vengeance.

Farhat al Zahra is also a day to mark the first day of the leadership of the 12th living Imam Al Mehdi. Imam Hassan Al Askari, Imam Al Mehdi’s father, was poisoned on the Rabee’ Al Awwal 8. Thereafter, Imam Al Mehdi begin his role as custodian of Islam.

Shi’as believe Imam Mehdi has been placed by Allah in occultation and will one day return among the people to bring justice and peace. His return would herald a new age in history when the spirit of the daughter of the Prophet could be happy.

The Holy Imam Hassan al – `Askari spent twenty – two years of his life under the patronage of his father,
Imam Ali Al-Hadi (an-Naqi) after whose martyrdom he became his divinely commissioned Imam.
Imam Hassan ibn `Ali al – `Askari , the son of the Tenth Imam , was born in 232/845 and according to some Shiite sources was poisoned and killed in 260/872 through the instigation of the `Abbasid caliph al – Mu`tamid . The Eleventh Imam gained the Imamate, after the death of his noble father, through Divine Command and through the decree of the previous Imams. During the seven years of his Imamate, due to untold restrictions placed upon him by the caliphate, he lived in hiding and dissimulation (taqiyyah).

There was extreme repression at that time because the Shiite population had reached a considerable level in both numbers and power. Everyone knew that the Shiia believed in the Imamate, and the identity of the Shiite Imams was also known. Therefore, the caliphate kept the Imams under its close supervision more than ever before. It tried through every possible means and through secret plans to remove and destroy them. Also, the caliphate had come to know that the elite among the Shiia believed that the Eleventh Imam, according to traditions cited by him as well as his, forefathers, would have a son who was the promised Mahdi (as).The coming of the Mahdi(as) had been foretold in authenticated hadith of the Prophet in both Sunni and Shiite sources. For this reason the Eleventh Imam, more than other Imams, was kept under close watch by the caliphate. The caliph of the time had decided definitely to put an end to the Imamate in Shiaism through every possible means and to close the door to the Imamate once and for all.
Therefore , as soon as the news of the illness of the Eleventh Imam reached al – Mu`tamid , he sent a physician and a few of his trusted agents and judges to the house of the Imam to be with him and observe his condition and the situation within his house at all times . After the death of the Imam, they had the house investigated and all his female slaves examined by the midwife. For two years the secret agents of the caliph searched for the successor of the Imam until they lost all hope. The Eleventh Imam was buried in his house in Samarra’ next to his noble father.

A Part of Imam Hasan Al-Askari’s Commandments to His Shia

Let piety be your provision, patience be your garment, and buy hardship in the path of Allah. Be true in your speech, trustworthy in performing your deeds, prolong your sajdah (prostration), deal with others with best behavior, and treat your neighbor amicably. Perform your prayers even with those whom you think to be your opposition; attend their funeral ceremonies, visit their sick, and give them their rights. Verily I tell you that whosoever is honest and has good behavior in the eyes of others, he is the pious Shia whom I will be proud of. Therefore, fear Allah, be as adornment on behalf of us and be not as shame that defames our name. This is the only way by which others shall be attracted toward us (the Ahlul Bayt of the Holy Prophet s.w.).

The annual occasion of Prophet Mohammad -PBUH- martyrdom. This is a song about Prophet Moahammad and his pure family who were “and still” the purest people on earth, but people did not appreciate this treasure. As we mentioned before, heroes should be honored by their followers, but Prophet Mohammad -PBUH- was surrounded by a punch of fraudsters and thieves called them selves “companions.” (Some of his companions were faithful for sure, but they are just a few) They betrayed Prophet Mohammad -PBUM- and his family. After all what the Prophet had done for people, he did not ask for money or land. He just asked people to follow his family and not to hurt them.

Prophet Mohammad passed away by different reasons we do not want to discuss. A group of his companions left the body of the Prophet and gathered to discuss who is going to take place since the Prophet died!

They wanted to elect Abo Baker, the first caliph, and to pursue this decision, they have committed several crimes. Killing Lady Zahra, the Prophet’s daughter, was the most known one.

This song talks about the Prophet, and the following events that occurred to his family after his death.

Written on the occasion of Arbaeen/Chelum Imam Husain A.S.

Look at the heads atop the spear
and the eyes that are full of tears.

Husain has gone and his sister is alone,
and her lonely sight is so hard to bear.

It will touch so many hearts of stone
but her suffering, so few shall share.

The daughter of Fatima is full of sorrow.

In her path, so many woes have been steered.

She doesn’t know what will happen tomorrow.
She hasn’t finished wiping her tears.

The world has seldom seen such a bold woman.

So courageous and without a speck of fear.

She is so strong, that she can’t be broken.
Even by her loved ones’ heads, on the spears.

Her parents are Fatima and Ali, none other,
and to the Prophet Muhammad, she is so dear.

But this day, she is without her brother.
And no comfort seems to be near.

There is no one relieve them of their agony.
The indifference of these “Muslims” is so severe.

Nobody cares for the Prophet’s progeny.
For the victims, everyone should shed tears.

Don’t all the people present, understand,
the noble family of the Prophet, has no peers?

Everyone’s salvation is verily in their hands.
Why are they being driven, to the verge of tears?

This lady is not afraid to lose her life.
She speaks out against cruelty, without fear.

To spread her brother’s message, she strives,
breaking everyone’s heart with her silent tears.

On hurting the innocent, the cruel are bent.
But these wicked plots fail and she perseveres.

She faces calamity with her spiritual strength.
She is anguished, but holds back her tears.

The tyrants wanted to crush the struggle
but it shall never end and also our tears.

Everyone is moved, on hearing her troubles.
Karbala is and will be remembered each year.

In the stormy seas we’ve not yet set ashore,
many evil minds would want to stop our tears.

But this mourning will continue, forever more,
with cries of Ya Husain, ringing in our ears.

We condolence on the Arbaeen anniversary, marking end of a 40-day mourning period after the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Hussein ibn Ali (AS), the third Imam of prophet Mohammad’s (SAWA) infallible household.

Number forty is mystic in Theosophy. According to the Islamic culture if someone practices a good deed constantly during forty days, it would be his inseparable attribute and lead to descending of God’s blessing. In some religions forty days and forty nights praying has been special position.

When Moses (AS) prayed forty nights; found the ability to hear the words of God.

“And remember when we appointed for Moses forty nights, and (in his absence) you took the calf (for worship), and you were polytheists and wrong-doers.” [Holy Quran1:51]

The holy prophet Muhammad (SW) said:

“If someone devotes him only to god forty days; the springs of wisdom found in his words.”

Commemorating of the fortieth day of deeds by their family and giving alms is one of the common custom among some of the Muslims. The fortieth day of Imam Hussein (AS)’s martyrdom is called Arbaeen. In this day Shiites commemorate Imam Hussein’s revolution. These forty days are a suitable opportunity for people to develop the love of Hussein (AS) and hate his murderers, in their hearts. Forty consecutive days, from Ashura up to Arbaeen, also is a national ceremony of aversion announcement from oppressors of the history.

In the first Arbaeen, Jabir Ibn Adollah and “Atieh “Ufi were the persons who pilgrimaged the holy tombs of Imam Hussein (AS). According to some narrations, captive family of Imam Hussein (AS) In the way of returning to Medina from Sham, visited Jabir and pilgrimaged tombs of Ashura’s martyrdoms.

Imam Hussein (AS) sacrificed himself along with his children and relatives to enforce Islam.

Tomorrow night is the night of the 20th, Al-Arbaeen day. Special pilgrims are going to be held for this occasion. Millions will be visiting the holy city of Karbala. People will be walking from everywhere heading to Karbala. May Imam Husain protect them all and save them from terrorism.

No wonder, your love injects life.

Mamoun was dead in his lifetime,

Wasn’t alive to the littleness of the play put to game.

Your rule extends from planet to heaven,

Let Mamoun adjust within this expanse,

He failed and shend (1) himself — at what an expense!

His fate fated him to hell,

Your glory – the glitter of gold alone can tell.

Yes, it is true he poisoned you;

Curse, bitter than prison is his due.

You stand security even to animals,

There are tales, escaped the butcher, the camels.

There is not one in history your peer,

You stood security to a deer.

Whoever visits you, to him you visit;

Am I wrong? To death I list. (2)

By poison you convulsed with your robe,

It was the earth convulsed and coiled into a globe.

While animals acknowledge you

How unfortunate a man to not know his due.

Where you are buried the Prophet said is heaven,

We fortunate enough to be in a land of heaven.

It’s tenth of Safar. Three days since the martyrdom of Imam Hasan Al-Mojtaba. We do not know how was Imam Hasan’s family feeling during these days… We do not know how lady Zainab was feeling. She lost everyone.. her mother, father, and now her older son. She lives now with her only hope, Imam Husain.

In this song, lady Zahra -PBUH- is wondering why her son Imam Hasan is forgotten by everyone. People do not give him much attention as they give Imam Husain. On our podcast, we already posted a song and a design about Imam Hasan. We would like to post another podcast about him even if it’s been three days since Safar 7th, day of Imam Hasan’s martyrdom.

Peace be upon you my Imam, and may Allah lay curse on Wahhabis, enemies of humanity, and anyone who supported destroying your holy shrine.

Nations must be proud of their people who build their history, and they are. Whatever their ideologies or religious views are, nations honor their heroes. Many of them still have symbolic tombs of unknown soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the sake of their nations. Even though they were killed tens of years ago, they are still honored because those kind of people represent nations’ pride and glory, and nations that do not honor their heroes will not last any longer. Sooner or later they will disappear.
In Saudi Arabia, Al-Baqi cemetry, that contains many of Prophet Mohammad’s relatives and companions, is still destroyed since 1925. They used to be covered with structures, but the backward government of Saudi Arabia and Wahhabis destroyed them to prevent people from visiting them because they think it is against Allah’s well! They are forgetting that Prophet Mohammad -PBUH- was saying it all the time and doing it by himself.. pay love and respect to my family.. do not hurt or bother them..
Don’t these shrines show respect to Prophet Mohammad’s family? If they do, why did you destroy them?

REBUILD YOUR GLORY, BACKWARDS!!!

It is Muharram 28th…

It feels like it was started yesterday! Tomorrow may be the last day of Muharram or may be the day after tomorrow. Whether we passed it or not, Imam Husain’s teachings will remain. Whether it’s been a thousand year or more, he is still alive in our hearts because he did not do all that seeking for fame and popularity, or for some people and money. Imam Husain’s name is still alive because he did that all for Allah’s sake, and what is done for Allah remains.

Allah did not keep Imam Husain’s issue alive by miracle. Allah created for everything a reason. Every tiny thing on earth has its own reason and purpose. One of the most important reasons that kept Imam Husain’s issue alive is the participations Imam Husain’s followers do every year during Muharram or after Muharram. All the latoms, tears, lectures, and blood they give has made Imam Husain’s issue alive and fresh as it was occured last year.

Peace be upon Husain, Ali son of Husain, Husain’s children, and Husain’s friends. Peace be upon Lady Zainab and upon Abo Al-Fadhl Al-Abbas.

O Allah, lay curse upon the killers of Imam Husain

It has been two years since Imam Al-Hadi and his son Imam Al-Askari’s shrine was destroyed in Samurra, Iraq by terrorists encouraged by Wahhabi leaders who think these graves are against Allah’s well. Whatever their reasons are, everyone must know that:-

- This kind of crime is not just against Islam, it is against human rights and international laws.

- Parties (Governments, countries, international organizations, and individuals) that are responsible to end up this crime did not start reconstruction yet, and that is painful to all of us. They have got to start reconstructing as soon as possible.

- What is more painful, groups like Wahhabism that think these terrorism acts are what Allah wants us to do. Those groups are not just a danger to Iraqis and Iraq, but also they are a danger to all human beings and the world. United Nations should apply the procedures that limit the danger of this group.

May Allah hasten the reappearance of Imam Saheb Al-Zaman -PBUH- to get revenge from those who did this crime to his family and spread justice on earth

Abdul Husain Al Sharie, a popular Iraqi poet, wrote a poem about Imam Husain once, but some guy complained about its meanings and did not allow him to publish it. He was so disappointed.. he went home thinking of what happened until he fell asleep. He dreamed that Lady Zahra -Peace be Upon Her- came to him and said:”Son, why are you asleep? Zainab came to Husain but she was depressed.” He woke up.. and wrote this poem..

Whatever they do, they still feel they did nothing for the man who gave Allah everything

He gave his children, family, and his blood… and when he was about to pass away.. He was whispering..

“Allah… My Shiites… My Shiites”

They missed the day Imam Husain was martyred… But they would not hesitate to fight with him if they were alive..

They want to share Abo Al-Fadl Al-Abbas’s suffer when he was hit on his head by one of Yazeed’s soldiers when Abo Al-Fadl was trying to bring water for his niece and the children… He fell down… and was killed

People still wonder why…

Because what was occurred to Imam Husain has not occurred to anybody before..

Because when he just lost his children in front of his eyes… His sisters were hit and taken as prisoners… and when he became alone… He tried to protect himself.. Fell down from his horse.. Horses came and trampled his chest….

Because when they put his head up on the javelin.. His sister saw it.. She was shocked.. Wailed and hit her head until blood came out from her veil…

They follow Lady Zainab and join her her grief..

Tonight, the fourth night of Muharram, is the faithful lady’s night, Om Al-Baneen, who played a great role in Karbala to support her beloved husband’s son, Imam Husain, Imam Ali and Lady Zahra’s son. Imam Ali married Lady Om Al Baneen after Lady Zahra when she was martyred and her children became orphans. Om Al Baneen took care of them and gave birth to four children, Al Abbas, Jaafar, Awn, and Abdullah… All the lecturers tonight will talk about her tonight… They will be talking about the lady who gave her most precious thing for her and for any mother… She sacrified her four children just to protect her husband’s son, Imam Husain, who carries Allah’s message. She sent them to Karbala with him, and they faught like lions…

Was that it? No…

It is known women and kids do not get involved with wars. Om Al-Baneen sent her sons hoping that some day she could see them again with their Imam. Bishr bin Hathlam came to Al Madinah knowing who were killed in Karbala… Om Al-Baneen came and Bishr asked “Who is this woman?” They told him she is Om Al-Baneen.. Bishr told her her son Jaafar was killed.. She answered with tears. “Tell me about my son Husain…” He told her her son Awn was killed.. She answered.. “Tell me about my son Husain..” Until he told her Al Abbas was killed.. She fell down on the ground.. cried and screamed.. “Tell me about my son Husain.. Is he alive or killed?!” He told her that he was killed.. She wailed.. and shouted.. “O Husain.. O my beloved son…..”

History has not known a faithful woman like Om Al-Baneen… and that is what happens when you have faith in people like Imam Husain… the greater your goal is.. the more you sacrifice for your goal.. and Imam Husain’s greatness is infinite..

Peace be upon you faithful lady… All the generations will keep remembering you..

In a few days, we will be able to see Muharram’s crescent, which means for Muslims Muharram just started. Muharram… the month of sadness. The month when the most tragic calamity had occurred… When Imam Husain was martyred with his faithful brothers, sons, and friends… When Imam Husain’s daughters were taken as prisoners and were hit by the ruthless soldiers just because he refused to give allegiance to Yazeed, who was a bad, licentious leader. Thank you my Imam for all you have done for us, and for the religion. We won’t forget those lessons ever…

Peace be upon you my Imam when you were born, when you were martyred, and when you come to life again…

Since I was a kid, I only listen to religious songs for different reasons.One of them is my religious parents who only listen to that art, and we kids follow our parents in each action they do. Until now, I still believe listening to that kind of music is a good thing to do because of the meaningful words and the quiet tone it has. On the other hand, I feel so dump when I listen to other music that talks about useless stuff such as a missing horse, beautiful woman, or drinking beer. I have been with many friends who listen to that kind of music just because they want to get motivated, dance, and then get crazy! The other reason is because they have never heard of religious songs, and I don’t blame them. We are bad at advertising, and I think it is my duty to provide this art to everyone on the internet. Maybe… they would rather listen to that kind of music because it is more virtuous.

What is special in religious songs?

The virtue that makes religious art different than all kinds of music is the message it contains. It contains the message of Allah that Prophet Mohammad and his pure family – peace be upon them – sacrificed their lives for the sake of it. That message contains the principles of tolerance, love, freedom, and peace. Those are good characteristics, and heaven was created for those who are good. For this reason, I called this blog the “Rhythm of Heaven.” Year 61, according to the Islamic calender, refers to the year that Imam Husain was martyred. Imam Husain’s story is the most tragic story that has occurred in history, and most of our religious songs talk about that story and the great principles he sacrificed for. “Latom”was started because of that tragic event, so we attached this year with the name of the blog.

What does suck in other kinds of music?

The faults that make other kinds of music hated is the poor, inferior message it contains. Sex, violence, and racism… that’s all what music is about nowadays… whether it was Arabic or English music.
